Old Violet is like deep Parma violets or blue lavender Old Violet is a wonderful 18th century colour. Use for painting the inside of your furniture – like the lining of a jacket – or for using as the base with Paris Grey on top and distressed. It is of course wonderful on its own or with Emperor’s silk as a contrast or Duck Egg Blue for a more toned and cooler effect.
